Knit Knacks at the Art Auction

Check out the progress on our Knit Knacks Art Auction Afghan! It's coming along, but we still can use as many pieces for the afghan as we can get. These pieces need to be turned in (They can be sent to school with your child marked "For Knit Knacks Afghan") no later than the end of MARCH. That way we'll have enough time to put it all together before the art auction.

For club members who aren't ready to knit a square on needles, here are a few other suggestions of ways you can contribute to the afghan.
1. Make spool knit cords. Many of the kids can already do this. Any length will be great.
2. Work on a round knitting loom going back and forth on the loom rather than round and round. We did this last week and found that we needed to do the end pegs twice before switching directions.

Another March Project for spool knitters:
Knit two cords of green yarn: 24 inches long and 44 inches long
In club, we'll sew them together to make a shamrock potholder.

Finally, thanks to those parents who have helped out with meetings. We need lots of adult help so whenever you are able to spare some time, we really appreciate you being there!
