Knit Knacks Key Chains

This week in Knit-Knacks we'll be making key chains. This is an easy crochet project.

Materials needed:

1 skein of medium weight yarn
crochet hook
2 metal split rings, one 1 inch across and the other, 1 1/2 inch across

Instructions:
1. Link the two rings. You'll crochet onto the larger ring.
2. Make a slip knot onto your crochet hook.
3. Put the hook through the ring and pull the yarn through from the center.
4. Wrap the yarn around the hook and pull the yarn through both loops on the hook
5. Repeat until the ring is completely covered.
6. Cut the yarn and pull it through the two loops on the hook.
7. Make a fringe. Cut 20 pieces of yarn. Fold in half. Put the fold through the ring and wrap the ends around the ring and through the fold. Pull tight and trim the ends.

Knit-Knack members and their families are also still encouraged to knit for our service projects! If you have questions, let Mrs. Binnig know.
