Welcome to Knit Knacks

Knit-Knacks will meet after school twice a month to learn to knit and create with yarn. We’ll be finger knitting, spool knitting, knitting with needles, and weaving. After we learn the basics, the children can work on projects of their own choosing at their own pace. Lots of adult help will be needed – no experience necessary! Donations of yarn and knitting supplies will be appreciated.

Parents will be responsible for picking up their child or arranging for alternate transportation promptly at 5:00 p.m. after each club meeting.

Children may bring a snack to eat at the beginning of each club meeting. No other snacks will be provided.

Fees will not be charged for Knit-Knacks, however each child should provide their own knitting needles and yarn. A bag to carry knitting supplies will also be helpful. Donations of extra yarn and knitting supplies for the group would be greatly appreciated. Please send donations to school marked “For Knit-Knacks.”

Parents are highly encouraged to attend and assist with meetings. No experience is necessary. Adults can learn right along with the kids!
