Knit Knack Monkey News

Congratulations to Summer for completing the very first Knit Knacks Monkey! Most of the other club members are also well on their way to completing their monkeys.

One new item we need for the completion of this project is a package of sewing pins. This will help us to keep our fabric straight as we sew the seams on the arms and tail.

We also could use ziplock bags. Projects are taking more than one week to complete and we will stay more organized with a box of bags handy. They can be large or small.

Thanks to the parents who have been helping with the club! The more hands the better! We encourage any parent to come to help - even if you have no skills and can only come to one club meeting!

Coming up... The art auction is fast approaching and we need to get to work on our afghan! We need as many pieces as possible - any size, shape, pattern, etc. These pieces can be made by club members or friends and family of club members. And for the kids who are not yet knitting on needles, I have a plan to use our round knitting looms to knit squares. If you have a knitting loom on hand, this can be done by going back and forth around the loom rather than around and around. If you have questions, let me know.
